Load Classes of Square Ductile Iron Manhole Covers

Square ductile iron manhole covers are available in different load classes according to application requirements. Common load classes include A15, B125, C250, D400, E600, and F900.

A15 Class

Test Load: 15 kN (approximately 1.5 tonnes)

Suitable for pedestrian areas, bicycle paths, green belts, sidewalks, and other locations where vehicle traffic is not expected.

B125 Class

Test Load: 125 kN (approximately 12.5 tonnes)

Suitable for footpaths, pedestrian zones, private parking areas, residential communities, and areas occasionally accessed by light vehicles.

C250 Class

Test Load: 250 kN (approximately 25 tonnes)

Suitable for kerbside channels, residential streets, and areas subjected to occasional vehicle traffic.

D400 Class

Test Load: 400 kN (approximately 40 tonnes)

Suitable for municipal roads, highways, industrial traffic areas, logistics parks, and other locations exposed to regular vehicle loads.

E600 Class

Test Load: 600 kN (approximately 60 tonnes)
